1. Who we are
Subsensor Technologies (“Subsensor”, “we”, “us”) operates subsensor.com and is responsible for the customer information described in this Policy. We sell technology products, operate customer accounts and provide order and support services. This Policy explains what information we use when you visit the site, contact us, sign in or shop with us. For privacy questions, contact us by email.
2. Information we collect
The information depends on how you use the site. It can include:
- Account and contact details: your name, email address, phone number, account sign-in details and the information you choose to add to your profile.
- Orders and delivery: products, quantities, payment status, order history, billing and delivery names, addresses and contact details, and messages about fulfilment, returns or warranties.
- Enquiries and saved work: details submitted through Contact Us, Product Enquiry, Return Request, business enquiries, reviews or other forms, plus any PC Builder configurations or saved builds you choose to keep.
- Technical activity: IP address, browser and device details, page interactions, cookie or similar identifiers, and security events generated when you use the site.
We receive most of this information from you. Some comes from your browser or device; payment and sign-in providers return the information needed to complete those services. Please do not put full payment-card details, passwords or other unnecessary sensitive information in a support message or form.
3. How we use information
We use information to create and manage accounts, process orders and payments, source and deliver products, provide order updates, handle support and returns, protect the site against fraud or misuse, keep required business records, and understand and improve how the site works. These activities may be needed to perform a purchase agreement, meet a legal obligation, or serve a legitimate business interest such as security and reliable service. The lawful basis for a particular use depends on its purpose and applicable law; signing up for marketing is a separate choice from placing an order. You can use many parts of the site without creating an account, but we need the relevant order and contact information to complete a purchase or respond to an enquiry.
4. Payments and orders
Online payments are handled through Paystack. Paystack collects and processes card or other payment credentials through its payment flow. Subsensor receives information such as the transaction reference, amount, status and the order to which the payment belongs; we do not ask you to provide a full card number to our support team. We retain order and payment records needed to fulfil purchases, reconcile payments, resolve disputes and meet accounting or legal duties. Payment on delivery, when offered, still requires us to use the order and delivery details needed to collect the amount due.
5. Google sign-in
If you choose Google sign-in, Google sends us the account information needed to identify you, including a verified email address and, where available, your name and a provider account identifier. We use it to create or connect your Subsensor customer account and let you sign in. We do not receive your Google password. Google handles its own sign-in service under its privacy terms; using a normal email-and-password account remains a separate option on our site.
6. Cookies and measurement
Cookies and similar technologies help keep a cart and account session working, remember site choices, protect the site and measure visits. Blocking essential cookies can prevent cart, checkout or sign-in features from working.
Our current site also uses Independent Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, Google for WooCommerce and Google Ads measurement tools. These may collect page or interaction events and device or browser identifiers to help us understand use of the site or measure advertising results. Clarity can provide interaction and session-playback information; Google advertising tags can use cookies or similar identifiers to connect an ad interaction with a later site action. The data each provider handles depends on its tool and your browser settings. See Microsoft Clarity data collection and Google Ads conversion tracking for provider information.
You can restrict or delete cookies through your browser. Browser controls may affect how the site works and may not prevent every network request or measurement technique. We do not describe these tools as anonymous when an IP address or other identifier may be involved.
7. Email and marketing
We send service messages needed for orders, payment, delivery, support, returns and account security. Our site uses an email delivery provider to send these messages. Placing an order does not by itself subscribe you to a newsletter. If we offer a separate marketing sign-up, we will identify it as such; you can withdraw from marketing messages using the unsubscribe method in the message or by contacting us. Stopping marketing does not stop essential order or account emails.
8. Sharing and service providers
We share only the information needed for the relevant task with providers that help us run the store: hosting and website services; Paystack for online payments; email delivery services, currently Brevo; delivery partners for shipping; Google for optional sign-in, product listings and advertising measurement; and Microsoft Clarity for site-use measurement. Support forms and order details are also processed in our WordPress and WooCommerce systems. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect legal rights or investigate fraud, or as part of a genuine business transfer subject to applicable protections. We do not sell customer contact lists.
When you leave Subsensor for another site or service, its own privacy policy applies to what it collects directly from you.
9. International processing
Some service providers may process or store information outside Nigeria. That may include sign-in, email and measurement providers. Where a cross-border transfer is subject to the Nigeria Data Protection Act or another applicable law, we must use an appropriate legal basis and protection. Contact us if you want more information about a provider involved in your use of the site.
10. Retention and security
We keep information for as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected, including an active account, an order, a support request, fraud prevention, accounting, tax and other legal recordkeeping. A deletion request may not require us to erase records that we must retain by law or need for an unresolved transaction or claim. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it where practicable.
We use access controls and other reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information. No website or transmission method is completely risk-free. If you suspect that your account has been used without permission, contact us promptly and change your sign-in credentials.
11. Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, you can ask to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal data, object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You can also raise a concern about a decision made solely by automated means where the law gives you that right. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and some rights have lawful exceptions. To make a request, contact us by email and describe the account, order or information involved; do not email passwords or complete card numbers.
If you are unhappy with our response, you may complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission or exercise another remedy available under applicable law.
12. Children and changes
Purchases on this site are intended to be made by adults or by a parent or guardian for a child. We do not knowingly invite children to create customer accounts on their own. If you believe a child has provided us information without appropriate permission, contact us so we can review it.
We may update this Policy when the site, our providers or legal requirements change. We will publish the updated text here and identify a new date when the final version is put into effect. A material change to how information is used may require additional notice or choice.
13. Contact us
